Freedom! Sweet Freedom!

It's Official! I moved! While I was housesitting, my uncle's home was put under contract for a closing by the end of this month. Still in the grind of the fall semester which ends mid December, I asked for my mom's help in finding a place. Stress and more stress do not make for the most highly fuctioning person. Add learning disability college student, adult with ADHD, and somewhat under control panic/anxiety dosorder (I'm trying my darnest to keep it in check, and not control me)all of this makes for a very interesting existance. lol!

I saw the place on Monday, and moved in on Saturday. Not sure the property management co. was ready, or used to NYC apartment rental tactics. Think it took them by surprise and scared them abit. Up in NY you have to jump and be ready to grab an apartment the second you see it. It makes no difference how much they (rentee) like you (potential rentor),the 1st with a check in their hand gets the apartment. (did I get the rentee/rentor labels backwards?)lol!

It is a studio apartment in a 3 unit house. The other 2 are both 3 bedroom apartments. One is empty still. All utilities are included, so I am still trying to figure the heating. it's electric baseboard that I control, not at the mercy of someone else.it got too hot for me who is always cold! go figure.

they allow pets, so I got my hopes up about being able to reunite with my cat Macho. He is living with my mom and her pets. Saddly, once I was reading the lease before signing it, I discovered that there would be an increase in rent. bummer. Macho would need to come up with $100 a month to be here. That is alot of catnip for him to deal on the streets to other kittys, and would prefer him to be indoors only. No catnip dealing on the streets for him!

Oh! How can I forget to tell:
I am now ONE ROW OF HOUSES AWAY FROM THE BEACH!
